The Boston Red Sox's injured list is getting smaller and smaller each week after being lengthy through the first month of the season.

On Saturday, Boston announced that they reinstated catcher Tyler Heineman (right hamstring string) from the 10-day injured list. Without a roster spot for him with the big-league club, he's been optioned back to Triple-A.

The 33-year-old had appeared in just one game for Boston, going 0-for-1 with a hit-by-pitch. He'll now return to Worcester where he hit .243 with a .675 OPS in his 13 games there this year.
