Prior to the Boston Red Sox' Friday night matchup with the Minnesota Twins at Fenway Park, Alex Cora's squad made multiple roster moves.

Boston announced that they've placed outfielder Rob Refsnyder on the injured list with right forearm strain and recalled infielder Vaughn Grissom.

Refsnyder played 93 games for the Red Sox this season, hitting .283 with an .830 OPS, 11 home runs and 40 RBIs. This new shouldn't be a surprise, though, as Cora mentioned it was a possibility earlier in the week.

Grissom has had a tough year with injuries and illnesses. He's hit just .148 with a .357 OPS this year with Boston. However, he's hit .259 with a .758 OPS in Worcester. This will be a good opportunity for him to get experience for next spring training's competition for second base.
