The Boston Red Sox are gearing up for their Monday night matchup with the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park, but hours before the first pitch, Alex Cora's team announced a pair of roster moves.

Boston has optioned left-handed reliever Bailey Horn to Triple-A Worcester and recalled right-handed reliever Greg Weissert.

Horn, 26, was acquired in a trade with the Chicago White Sox earlier in the year. He's been back and forth between the big league club and Triple-A this season, posting a 6.48 ERA (5.98 FIP) and a 1.620 WHIP while striking out 13 batters in 16 2/3 innings over 14 appearances.

Weissert, 29, has spent time with Boston and Worcester this year, as he was optioned about three weeks ago. In 45 appearances with the Red Sox in 2024, he's posted a 4.24 ERA (4.19 FIP) and a 1.436 WHIP while striking out 47 batters in 46 2/3 innings.

Cora and company have been looking for the right mix in the bullpen, and they're hoping some time down with Worcester helped Weissert.
