The Boston Red Sox have been around for over 120 years, but third baseman Rafael Devers has just accomplished a feat that only a few have done in the team's history.

In the sixth inning of Sunday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals, Devers hit a two-run home run to extend his streak of games with a home run to five.

Only six other Red Sox have hit home runs in five straight games (via. J.P. Long):

  • Bobby Dalbec - 2020
  • Jose Canseco - 1995
  • George Scott - 1977
  • Dick Stuart - 1963
  • Ted Williams - 1957
  • Jimmie Foxx - 1940

Devers will have an opportunity to break the record on Monday night against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field.
