The Boston Red Sox have been using up their bullpen arms furiously this season, and after making a trade over the weekend for a minor-league reliever, the team announced another roster move after their series against the New York Yankees.

On Monday, Boston officially optioned left-handed pitcher Cam Booser to Triple-A Worcester. No other corresponding move was announced.

Booser was just recalled from Triple-A on Friday to fill the roster spot left by veteran reliever Chris Martin hitting the injured list. He pitched in one game during this stint, allowing just one hit and one walk over two scoreless innings.

This year, Booster has appeared in 27 games for the Red Sox, posting a 3.00 ERA, a 2.90 FIP and a 1.167 WHIP while striking out 34 over 30 innings.
