Throughout the 2024 MLB season, Netflix cameras have been following the Boston Red Sox as they go through the ups and downs of a 162-game baseball season.

However, that's not the only Red Sox-related project coming from Netflix in the near future, as the company announced on Monday that they're releasing a documentary series on Boston's comeback in the 2004 ALCS against the New York Yankees.

According to their announcement, "The documentary series looks back at one of the greatest comebacks in sports history — when the Boston Red Sox broke the infamous "Curse of the Bambino" and defeated their archrivals, the New York Yankees — going on to win their first World Series title in 86 years."

The comeback from down three games has been covered in so many different ways, including in the ESPN 30-for-30 documentary "Four Days in October," which originally aired in 2010.

20 years later it will be interesting to see how the story is told now, and who Netflix talks to from the team then, considering some players, like starting pitcher Curt Schilling, aren't exactly the same guys they were then.

They should have easy access to some of the key pieces like Jason Varitek, David Ortiz and Pedro Martinez, who all still work with the team in varying capacities. Even guys like Kevin Youkilis, Kevin Millar and Lenny DiNardo are involved in the broadcasts, so they should be there to share their insights as well.
