The Boston Red Sox have taken two of the first three games of their series against the Baltimore Orioles, and designated hitter Masataka Yoshida has had a hot bat so far.

The 31-year-old has gone 5-for-8 in the series with a home run, four RBIs and two walks, but this isn't the first time that he's had success against Baltimore at Camden Yards. In fact, the numbers show that, in his limited sample size, he's been one of the best hitters against Baltimore on the road in MLB history.

According to Boston Sports Info, of batters with a minimum of 30 plater appearances against Baltimore on the road, Yoshida ranks first in batting average (.577) first in OBP (.588), seventh in slugging (.793) and first in OPS (1.381).

To think of all the incredible hitters who have played this game, the fact that Yoshida is among the best in this specific instance is rather incredible, especially considering how down everyone seemed to be on him throughout the offseason and into the start of this year.

Yoshida has been on fire over the last month or so, and he's helping the team win games in one of the most important series of the season.
