The Boston Red Sox have had players injured at just about every position this season, and Sunday night proved to be no different.

In the sixth inning of Boston's 5-4 victory over the Chicago Cubs at Fenway Park, Red Sox designated hitter Masataka Yoshida was removed from the game due to a hand injury.

Manager Alex Cora had some concern for the injury, but it wasn't enough for Yoshida to undergo imaging. The player himself gave an update after the game.

“It’s something we’ve got to wait and see (on),” Yoshida said through his interpreter (via MassLive). “We’ll wait until tomorrow and see what happens.”

Yoshida returned to the starting lineup on Saturday after a week out of it, and in the last two games, he's gone 5-for-7 with an RBI.
