The Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora has been in talks with the front office on a possible contract extension, and the details have been revealed. According to Buster Olney of ESPN, Cora has been offered somewhere in the range of three years, 21.75 million dollars.

This possible contract would make Cora the second-highest paid skipper in the MLB, right after the Chicago Cubs’ Craig Counsell, who has a contract for five years, 40 million.

In his six seasons of managing the Sox, Cora has led them to four winning seasons, a World Series victory in 2018, and an appearance in the ALCS in 2021. Now, he has led a very young team to a possible playoff appearance, so if the Sox can keep him, they should.
