After the Boston Red Sox lost to the New York Yankees 8-1 in the first of three games on Friday night at Fenway Park, the two teams will meet again for the middle game on Saturday.

For the matchup, Boston will send Cooper Criswell to the mound while New York will counter with Carlos Rodon.

Here's what Alex Cora's lineup, which won't feature David Hamilton, will look like for Game 2:

  1. Jarren Duran CF
  2. Rob Refsnyder RF
  3. Tyler O’Neill LF
  4. Rafael Devers 3B
  5. Connor Wong C
  6. Masataka Yoshida DH
  7. Jamie Westbrook 2B
  8. Bobby Dalbec 1B
  9. Ceddanne Rafaela SS

Criswell has been all right for the Red Sox this season, posting a 4.13 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP in his 11 appearances (10 starts), especially considering that he started the year in Triple-A. Two Yankees have recorded hits off of him in his career - Trent Grisham (1-for-1) and Alex Verdugo (1-for-1 with an RBI).

Rodon has been great for New York in his 14 starts in 2024, posting a 2.93 ERA (13th in baseball) and a 1.05 WHIP (21st). The Red Sox have five players who have hits against him - Dalbec (1-for-2 with a solo home run), Devers (2-for-8) McGuire (1-for-2), Rafaela (1-for-3 with a solo home run) and Refsnyder (3-for-7 with two walks).
