After the Boston Red Sox dropped the first two games of the series to the Tampa Bay Rays, the two teams will meet one last time in 2024 on Sunday afternoon at Fenway Park.

For the matchup, Boston will send Quinn Priester to the mound while Tampa Bay will counter with Ryan Pepiot.

This start will be Priester's first with Boston after the team acquired in a trade deadline deal with the Pittsburgh Pirates for former first-round pick Nick Yorke. In 20 outings (14 starts) with the Pirates over the last two years, he's posted a 6.46 ERA and a 1.585 WHIP while striking out 67 batters. He's only faced one Rays batter in his career - Christopher Morel (0-for-2 with a walk).

Pepiot has been really good for Tampa Bay this season in his 25 starts, posting a 3.64 ERA and a 1.14 WHIP while striking out 137 batters. He's allowed two or fewer earned runs in 12 of his last 13 outings. Three Red Sox have recorded hits against him in his career - Triston Casas (1-for-2), Ceddanne Rafaela (1-for-4 with an RBI) and Trevor Story (1-for-2 with a solo home run).
