After the Boston Red Sox lost to the Tampa Bay Rays 8-3 on Tuesday night at Tropicana Field, the two teams will meet again on Wednesday.

For the matchup, Boston will send Tanner Houck to the mound while Tampa Bay will counter with Ryan Pepiot.

Houck has been great for Boston this season, posting a 3.24 ERA (11th in baseball) and a 1.17 WHIP (26th) while striking out 150 batters in 28 starts. He's been pushed back twice due to shoulder fatigue. Seven Rays have recorded hits against him - Jonathan Aranda (2-for-5 with two walks), Jose Caballero (1-for-5), Junior Caminero (1-for-3 with an RBI), Yandy Diaz (3-for-12 with a walk), Brandon Lowe (1-for-8 with an RBI), Josh Lowe (5-for-9 with two RBIs and a walk) and Jose Siri (1-for-2).

Pepiot has been good for Tampa Bay in his 23 starts, posting a 3.76 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP while striking out 119 batters. He's allowed two or fewer runs in 10 of his last 11 starts. Two Red Sox have recorded hits against him - Ceddanne Rafaela (1-for-2 with an RBI) and Rob Refsnyder (1-for-2).
