The Boston Red Sox have been an intriguing team to watch all year, and All-Star outfielder Jarren Duran has been one of the main reasons for fans to tune in each night.

On the field, Duran has done everything he can to help his team achieve more than what was expected of them heading into this season, as he's hit well, run fast and improved his defense.

Now, after Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Toronto Blue Jays, Duran has accomplished a feat that no player in MLB history has ever done. A lead-off home run in the first inning made Duran the first player to ever hit 20 home runs, 40 doubles, 10 triples and steal 30 bases in a season (via. Boston Sports Info).

After the game, Duran acknowledged the stat but seemed to brush it off a bit.

"It's pretty crazy, but it's just a stat. It doesn't really mean anything," Duran said. "It's gonna be broken eventually. I mean guys like B. (Bobby) Witt, who can do that in his sleep. It's a cool honor, but at the end of the day, it doesn't do anything for the team unless I'm helping them win. But, it's a pretty awesome stat to have."

It's incredible to see what Duran has done in just a year, going from a guy who wasn't guaranteed a spot on the roster to a top-three player in Boston's lineup alongside Rafael Devers and Triston Casas. He deserves all the credit for the work that he's put in to get where he is today.
