The Boston Red Sox have had some bad luck with injuries early on in the year, and it looks like another player is dealing with something on Wednesday.

According to MassLive's Chris Cotillo, Red Sox first baseman Chris Cotillo was scratched from the team's lineup for their series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays due to right shoulder discomfort.

Cooper had been platooning at first base along with Dominic Smith, who will now get the start, with Triston Casas on the injured list.

In his 14 games with Boston, Cooper has hit .214 with a .592 OPS and has driven in four runs.
