Fans of the Boston Red Sox are going on X and asking for the Sox front office to make a big move at the trade deadline. This comes after their biggest rival, the New York Yankees, traded for Miami Marlins All-Star outfielder/second baseman Jazz Chisolm Jr. today.

Currently, the Sox are one game behind third place in the Wild Card race, while the Yankees are sitting comfortably at the top and are also threatening the leaders of the division, the Baltimore Orioles. The trade for Chisolm Jr. puts them over the top, and gives them their greatest chance to win the division this year.

Sox fans now want the front office to do the same, and target someone big. However, there are some pessimistic fans who think that the Sox are done after acquiring lefty pitcher James Paxton and catcher Danny Jansen. This view on the Sox comes from the past years where the front office has done nothing at the deadline, and may not do more for this one as well.
