Boston Red Sox were able to end their losing streak with a 3-1 win over the Chicago White Sox. Starter Nick Pivetta had a great outing, and Ceddanne Rafaela won the game with a two-run shot.
Pivetta was a stud in this game, going six innings, giving up only one run and striking out six as well. The bullpen also had a great game, and didn’t give up any late game runs like they usually have.
The Sox offense couldn’t really perform, but due to Triston Casas and Ceddanne Rafaela, who hit an RBI single and the two-run shot, they were able to take home the W. The homer was the first one since August 31st for the Sox.
The Red Sox will play their next game against the White Sox tomorrow at 7:10pm EST. Star shortstop Trevor Story will make his return in tomorrow’s game as well.
