For the first time since the Boston Red Sox traded him, Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Chris Sale is returning to Fenway Park.

The former Red Sox pitcher has been great this year, his first with his new club, and his recent string of performances have earned him the Pitcher of the Month honors for May.

Throughout the month, Sale started five games, recording a 0.56 ERA and 45 strikeouts. He also earned wins in all five contests.

Meanwhile, the return for Sale, second baseman Vaughn Grissom, has been underwhelming. Before landing on the injured list over the weekend, Grissom has hit an abysmal .148 with a .367 OPS in 23 games.

So far, the Red Sox appear to have lost this trade, but Grissom is still young, and Boston has many more years of control.
