The Boston Red Sox welcomed the Toronto Blue Jays to Fenway Park for the third game of this three-game set on Wednesday, but Mother Nature had other plans.

In the top of the second inning with one man on and one out, the rain became to come down, and the grounds crew brought out the tarp for a rain delay.

While the rain wasn't expected to keep falling, it just kept getting progressively worse, and the game has been suspended until the next time the Blue Jays come to town (August 26 at 2:05 p.m. ET.)

The game will resume in the top of the second.
