In another battle of The Rivalry, the Boston Red Sox lost their third game this season to the Yankees, 11-8, making the season record 5-3 Red Sox.

This game got off to a rough start, when Juan Soto and Aaron Judge hit back to back home runs to make the game 3-0.

Then, in the bottom of the first, Wilyer Abreu and Tyler O’Neill tied the game up with a solo homer and 2-run double. In the second, the Yankees scored a run and the Sox scored two more, making it 5-4.

In the fifth inning, the Yankees tied it again, until the Sox took the lead back again in the bottom of the inning, 6-5.

The last inning the Sox scored was in the seventh, when O’Neill hit his second home run of the night, and Dominic Smith hit a double to score a run to make it 8-6.

After that, the Red Sox pitching blew their lead by giving up runs in the eighth and ninth, and then three runs in extra innings in the 10th.

The Sox and Yankees will have their rubber match for the series tomorrow at 7:10pm EST.
