On Sunday, the Boston Red Sox earned a well-deserved series win over the New York Yankees by putting up 17 runs in their last two games while only allowing seven.
New York did win the series opener, with former Red Sox outfield Alex Verdugo relishing in the moment that he hit a home run off of the first pitch he saw from his former team. However, just two days later, Verdugo had a much different reaction to his new team dropping the series while the Red Sox celebrated. Instead of going back to the clubhouse, Verdugo stayed out until the rest of the Yankees' dugout was empty and watched Boston take in the victory.

This is a move we typically see after a team loses a championship game, but for just the game No. 74 of the season for New York, it's a bit strange.
Was Verdugo stewing after going just 1-for-9 in the final two games of the series? Was he remembering what it was like to play for Boston and alongside many of those players who celebrated Sunday's win? Was he trying to make sure he feels every ounce of this loss so he plays even harder the next time the two teams meet?
