The Boston Red Sox are gearing up for their Saturday matchup with the Cincinnati Reds, but before the first pitch, they've made a pair of roster moves as they continue to get healthier.

According to MassLive's Christopher Smith, Boston has activated rookie outfielder Wilyer Abreu from the 10-day injured list after he sprained his right ankle earlier in the month while walking down the dugout steps.

In 53 games this year, Abreu has hit .272 with an .829 OPS, six home runs and 22 RBIs. He played three rehab games with Triple-A Worcester, going 3-for-12 with two home runs.

To make room on the roster for Abreu, the Red Sox are optioning infielder/outfielder Bobby Dalbec back to Triple-A. In 37 games this season, he's hit just .133 with a .410 OPS. He's struck out 43 times in his 83 at-bats.
