The Boston Red Sox have lost plenty of players this season due to injury, but at this point in the year, they're starting to get some of them back on their roster to help for the midseason push.

On Monday, Boston announced they reinstated infielder/outfielder Romy Gonzalez from the 10-day injured list. Gonzalez had missed a couple of weeks due to a hamstring strain and had gone 6-for-12 in his rehab games with Triple-A Worcester before returning.

Prior to his injury, Gonzalez his .257 with a .651 OPS and six RBIs in 17 games for the Red Sox this year.

To make room for Gonzalez on the roster, Boston optioned infielder Jamie Westbrook back to Triple-A. The 28-year-old rookie played in 11 games for the Red Sox, hitting .222 with a home run, four RBIs and a .749 OPS.
