How will the Atlanta Braves handle the upcoming trade deadline?

It's unclear exactly who the Braves will get, but it is clear that they will be busy looking to add. The Braves are a playoff team and are considered to be one of the top teams in the National League despite being undermanned due to injuries.

The upcoming trade deadline could help fix this fact as the Braves could find replacements to fill in for Spencer Strider and Ronald Acuña Jr.

One player who could help out in the starting rotation certainly would be Detroit Tigers starter Jack Flaherty. He is having a bounce-back year with the Tigers and has shined so far this season with a 3.13 ERA in 16 starts.

Flaherty has had his name in rumors lately and MLB.com's Mark Feinsand mentioned him among his 10 "trade targets to watch."

"The 28-year-old may be on his way to his second straight Deadline deal, having been sent from St. Louis to Baltimore last August," Feinsand said. "Flaherty signed a one-year, $14 million deal with the Tigers after his subpar 2023, but he’s bounced back in a big way this season, posting a 3.13 ERA over 95 innings (16 starts) prior to the break. In a market largely desperate for rotation help, Flaherty could be a huge trade chip for Detroit."

Flaherty still is on the younger side and would give the Braves a major boost down the stretch. It's almost a guarantee that Flaherty will be moved, why not go get him if you're Atlanta?
