The 2024 Major League Baseball trade deadline officially is two weeks away and the Atlanta Braves are about to add.

Atlanta has been great so far despite being bitten by the injury bug in a major way. The Braves are such a deep team that they still have a chance to compete for a World Series title this season even without Spencer Strider and Ronald Acuña Jr.

The Braves are loaded throughout the roster, but with Acuña out, the outfield is a big point of interest. Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter put together a list of each team's biggest needs at the trade deadline and mentioned corner outfield as the Braves' weakness.

"Atlanta Braves: Add a corner outfielder," Reuter said. "With rookie Spencer Schwellenbach bringing to a halt what had been a revolving door in the No. 5 starter spot, the clear top priority for the Braves will be to bolster their outfield contingent.

"Ronald Acuña Jr. is out for the season, Michael Harris II is sidelined with a hamstring strain, and scrapheap pickup Ramon Laureano is also nursing an injury. That has left the underperforming veteran duo of Adam Duvall and Eddie Rosario to man the corners outfielder spots while Jarred Kelenic has shifted to center field."

Atlanta currently holds the top National League Wild Card spot despite the important injuries and could make up even more ground in the standings with a strong trade deadline.
