The Atlanta Braves are expected to be extremely active over the next few weeks.
Atlanta currently holds the top National League Wild Card spot and has remained one of the top contenders to compete for a World Series title this season despite losing both Spencer Strider and Ronald Acuña Jr. to injuries.
The Braves are one of the deepest teams in baseball and it has shown this season as they have stayed afloat despite the tough injuries.
Atlanta is in a good spot and could still compete for a championship this season, especially if it is able to have a strong trade deadline.
The Braves reportedly are among a group of teams looking to add a starting pitcher at the trade deadline, according to USA Today Sports' Bob Nightengale.
"Can you spare a starter? The Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals, Baltimore Orioles, San Diego Padres, Milwaukee Brewers, Houston Astros, and Atlanta are all seeking at least one more starter for the stretch run," Nightengale said.
This isn't too surprising and has been mentioned on multiple occasions. There should be a handful of starters available to the Braves with some of the top options likely being Garrett Crochet, Erick Fedde, and Jack Flaherty among others.
If the Braves want to compete for a title this season, they should look to make a move in the near future.
