Nicolas Castillo's hot start in Liga MX has many of his Pumas teammates expecting bigger things from the forward.
Castillo has four goals in six league matches, trailing Golden Boot leader Dorlan Pabon by just one strike. It's the kind of skill the Chilean showed in his home country last season with Universidad Catolica but never managed to demonstrate with various European clubs. However, his current form indicates he might be headed for the Old Continent once again.
"I don't think he'll last long in Mexico. He's going to return to Europe soon," Pumas center back Gerardo Alcoba told La Tercera. " We aren't forgetting that he's (24) years old. He's still very young and he looks like an experienced player."

After scoring twice in a stunning comeback draw with Club Tijuana, Castillo once again proved his worth Wednesday, coming on as a substitute in Pumas' CONCACAF Champions League match and making an immediate impact. Just after coming on in the 61st minute, Castillo and Matias Britos linked up with Castillo eventually getting forward and putting in a cross that Britos headed in for the equalizing goal.
Herrera suffers gross foot injury
"We're really happy with Nico. He's a very professional player, a really good person," Pumas center back Dario Veron said. "He's showing the quality he has with goals. You notice an enormous confidence in him that helps him to keep working and doing important things with Pumas."
"He adapted very quickly. He understood the game, luckily," Veron continued. "After a lot of time, a forward has arrived at Pumas. We've received him with open arms."
