Tiger Woods' score: Masters results, highlights from Saturday's Round 3 image

While he won’t enter the final round with the lead, Tiger Woods is well within striking distance of his fifth green jacket.

On a day in which Woods shot a 5-under 67, a performance he needed in order to keep his spot near the top, Francesco Molinari and Tony Finau also surged up the leaderboard. At the conclusion of Woods’ round, Molinari held the Masters lead by one stroke while Finau was in a tie for second place with Woods at 11 under.

The key for Woods was his putting, something he struggled with at times on Thursday and Friday. He didn’t miss a putt from inside seven feet Saturday.

After a ho-hum start that saw him go 1 over for the day through the first five holes, Woods turned on the accelerator. He birdied Holes 6-8 and added three more in a four-hole span from 13 to 16.

With weather expected to be a factor on Sunday, Woods and the rest of the final groups will tee off earlier than normal.

(All times Eastern)

Hole 18: Par 4, 465 yards

Woods nearly sinks a birdie putt from 35 feet, but he will take a par to finish his round. He remains one shot behind Molinari as he heads into the clubhouse.

Hole 17: Par 4, 440 yards

Woods picks up another par. Molinari added a birdie and now leads by a stroke.

Hole 16: Par 3, 170 yards

Tiger is tied for the lead! A beautiful tee shot puts Woods within seven feet of the hole and he sinks the putt.

Hole 15: Par 5, 530 yards

He is within one! Woods nearly gave himself an eagle opportunity on the green, but instead was forced to chip from past the hole. He got it within a couple of feet from the cup and easily tapped it in for birdie.

Hole 14: Par 4, 440 yards

No harm with a par on No. 14. A 40-foot birdie putt proves to be a bit too far.

Hole 13: Par 5, 510 yards

Despite being forced to lay up, Woods makes his first birdie since the eighth hole. He moves into a tie for second place and is two strokes off the lead.

Hole 12: Par 3, 155 yards

Another birdie putt that Woods couldn't muster into the hole. It's a par, but also a missed opportunity. He has made par on two of the first three par-3s.

Hole 11: Par 4, 505 yards

Woods hits an incredible approach shot from the trees onto the green, but the birdie putt is a bit short. He cards his third par in a row.

Hole 10: Par 4, 495 yards

Two-putt par for Woods to begin the back nine. He nearly drains the birdie putt. He trails Finau by two strokes.

Hole 9: Par 4, 460 yards

Effective up-and-down for par to close the front nine. Woods' pitch sets him up nicely for a routine par putt. He remains one stroke back.

Hole 8: Par 5, 570 yards

A spectacular second shot puts Woods within 11 feet of his first eagle of the tournament, but the putt just slides by the hole. He will gladly take the birdie and is one shot behind leaders Webb Simpson and Tony Finau.

Hole 7: Par 4, 450 yards

The shot of the round so far for Woods comes on his approach. He places one a foot from the pin, leading to an easy birdie. He is just two shots off the lead.

Hole 6: Par 3, 180 yards

Woods gains a much-needed stroke by carding his first birdie of the round. He stuck the tee shot within 18 feet of the cup and sank the putt.

Hole 5: Par 4, 495 yards

For the third straight day, Woods has bogeyed the fifth. A tee shot into the bunker did him no favors.

Hole 4: Par 3, 240 yards

Woods' birdie putt from 18 feet rolls just by the hole, meaning he pars his four straight. Tony Finau has staked his claim atop the leaderboard at 9 under, so Woods now trails by three strokes. He's going to have to break the par streak some time.

Hole 3: Par 4, 350 yards

No dice on the 12-foot birdie putt and Woods fails to take advantage of the short par-4. He isn't gaining any ground, but he hasn't lost any, either.

Hole 2: Par 5, 575 yards

A tee shot into the bunker forces Woods to play more conservatively, and that leads to a second consecutive par.

Hole 1: Par 4, 445 yards

Woods' first drive lands on the fairway. HIs approach shot lands on the green but is still about 35 feet out. He makes a rather routine par to start.
