TEAM NEWS: Fellaini preferred to Carrick for Man Utd image

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has preferred Marouane Fellaini to Michael Carrick for the Red Devils's clash with Stoke City.

The Belgian midfielder, whose contract at Old Trafford was recently extended to the summer of 2018, comes in for the trip to the Britannia Stadium as one of four changes from the side which drew with Liverpool.

Juan Mata has also been recalled for Anthony Martial, who has failed to make the matchday 18, while Chris Smalling and Daley Blind come in for Matteo Darmian and the ill Marcos Rojo.

Stoke retain the same XI which beat Sunderland 3-1 last time out, with new signing Saido Berahino not yet available to step into the lineup.

A win for United would extend their current unbeaten streak to 17 games, with their last loss coming in the Europa League at Fenerbahce on November 3.
