Man City team news: David Silva & Stones start against Huddersfield image

David Silva and John Stones are back in the Manchester City starting XI for Sunday's game against Huddersfield Town.

Silva had been left out of last week's 4-1 win over West Ham but returns to the midfield in place of Ilkay Gundogan, who drops to the bench.

Meanwhile, Stones has recovered from an injury to feature in the heart of the defece for the Premier League champions, taking Aymeric Laporte's place to play alongside Nicolas Otamendi.

Pep Guardiola's team is otherwise unchanged from the side that beat West Ham as they look to extend their lead at the top of the table to 19 points with a win.

Heading into their third-last game of the season, Huddersfield are not yet sure of safety from relegation as they sit just two points above third-bottom Swansea.

David Wagner has made just two changes to his side following their 2-0 loss to Everton last week, with Tommy Smith and Chris Lowe coming in to replace Rajiv van La Parra and Collin Quaner.

Man City XI: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Otamendi, Delph, Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Sane, Silva, Sterling, Jesus.

Bench: Bravo, Gundogan, Laporte, Bernardo, Mendy, Yaya Toure, Foden.

Huddersfield XI: Lossl, Hadergjonaj, Kongolo, Schindler, Zanka, Hogg, Mooy, Pritchard, Lowe, Smith, Mounie.

Bench: Coleman, Malone, Billing, Van La Parra, Depoitre, Quaner, Stankovic.
