Man City team news: Aguero starts as Kompany returns against Bournemouth image

Sergio Aguero will lead the line for Manchester City against Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Argentina international is understood to be unhappy with life under Pep Guardiola but he has been picked ahead of his Brazilian team-mate Gabriel Jesus by the Catalan.

Aguero is convinced he is being forced out of City by Guardiola, though those close to the manager insist he is happy with the striker, who is said to be prone to mood swings whenever he is out of the side.

Vincent Kompany also returns to the XI, along with midfielder David Silva.

Kompany missed out on the wins over Swansea City and Tottenham with a muscle injury, but will captain the side at the Etihad Stadium.

Silva, meanwhile, was not included in the squad for City's 4-1 win over Spurs for personal reasons, but returns to play against the Cherries.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, hand a first Premier League start to central defender Jack Simpson, while Simon Cook will make his 250th club appearance.

Man City XI: Ederson; Walker, Kompany (C), Otamendi, Delph; Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Silva; Sterling, Sane, Aguero

Subs: Bravo, Danilo, Gundogan, Mangala, Bernardo, Gabriel Jesus, Toure

Bournemouth XI: Begovic; Smith, S Cook, Ake, Simpson, Fraser; Gosling, Surman; Stanislas, Wilson, Ibe

Subs: Boruc, L Cook, Hyndman, Mahoney, Pugh, Mousset, Afobe
