After a trophyless first season in charge, Guaridola will be looking to get out of the gate quickly this time around, and though a visit to a newly-promoted side in Brighton on the opening day is never ideal, the Citizens will be hopeful of being right in the mix from the get-go.
Merseyside rivals Everton and Liverpool will be the first visitors to the Etihad Stadium, while the first away trip to any of last season's top six comes in the shape of City's clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on 30 September.
The first Manchester Derby of the season takes place on 9 December at Old Trafford while Tottenham are the visitors to the Etihad Stadium just seven days later.
City will host Newcastle United on Boxing Day among four matches in the space of nine days over the festive period while a trip to Anfield follows on 13 January.
City's fate will likely be decided over two key periods, as they take on Arsenal and Chelsea back-to-back on 24 February and 3 March before visits to Everton and Tottenham sandwich the second Manchester Derby of the campaign on 7 April.
Guardiola's side do have a favourable run-in, however, with their final home match against Huddersfield Town before they travel to Southampton on the last day of the season.
