Dominant Man City send Premier League records tumbling in latest win image

Manchester City  achieved several Premier League records in Wednesday's 3-1 win over Brighton, including a new benchmark for points in a single season.

City established new single-season marks for goals, wins and points in what has been one of the greatest campaigns in English football history.

Bernardo Silva's 34th-minute goal, his team's second of the match, gave City 104 goals for the 2017-18 season, breaking the previous mark of 103 set by Chelsea in 2009-10.

Fernandinho would go on to add City's 105th goal of the season in the second half.

City clinched the Premier League title in dominating fashion this season , exiting Wednesday's match with a 20-point advantage over second-place Manchester United.

Victory over Brighton established a new record for Premier League wins in a season with 31, breaking the record set by Chelsea only last season.

With one more win, City will break the record for most wins in any English top-flight season, which was previously set by Tottenham in 1960-61.

The win over the Seagulls also broke the league record for points in a season, as City's total of 97 went past Chelsea's 2004-05 total of 95.

With a victory over Southampton on the season's final day Sunday, City would become the first team with 100 points in a Premier League season.
