Following Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT's) 3-0 win over Boeungket Angker in their group AFC Cup match on Wednesday, the Southern Tigers head coach Benjamin Mora has expressed his pleasure towards his men's performance in the match.

Despite needing a win to keep the pressure on Group F leaders Global, Mora fielded mostly backup and reserves players at the start of the match, as the former AFC Cup champions are set to face rivals Pahang in the second leg of their FA Cup quarter-final tie this Sunday. The gamble paid off, and the Mexican coach can expect to field his strongest side against Pahang.

Although he fielded backup and young players against the Cambodia side, Mora insisted that they are not second options, and that they have equal responsibilities as compared to the key players.

"There is no such thing as ‘team A’ and ‘team B’ at JDT because every player is committed to the club. Each player we have now has shown that they are very committed.

"It was proven when Safawi and a few players were able to play as strikers in last night's match because we didn’t have strikers since both strikers (Brian [Cabrera] and Hazwan [Bakri]) were injured. All JDT players are responsible enough and a hundred percent ready to play at any time," said Mora as quoted by the JDT social media.
