M-League organiser Football Malaysia LLP (FMLLP) has reminded Kelantan that they can only register one new foreign signing in the current transfer window, and not two.

FMLLP on Sunday issued a statement saying that Kelantan have only submitted an application to sign one new foreign player in the mid-season transfer window, and will be barred from fielding more than one new import.

"The application by Kelantan received by FMLLP is only for the registration of one new foreign player. We have never received any application to register more than one foreign player by Kelantan.

"If there was such an application, it would not be approved as Kelantan are still facing a transfer embargo, which had been handed for the failure to settle several financial obligations," wrote FMLLP CEO Kevin Ramalingam.

Early this month, Kelantan, along with three other M-League sides had been handed six-point deductions and transfer embargoes in the current mid-season transfer window, for their failure to fulfill their financial obligations to their players.

But the embargoes came with the proviso that the clubs may be allowed to sign new players, if they can prove that the transfers will result in savings.

Kelantan advisor Tan Sri Annuar Musa last week announced the signing of Lebanon international Abou Bakr Al-Mel, who then made his debut for the Red Warriors in their 2-2 Super League draw against Pulau Pinang last Saturday.

On Friday Annuar announced the Red Warriors' interest in French-Senegalese forward L'Imam Seydi, and was pictured in discussions with the footballer. But if FMLLP decides to stick to its guns, Kelantan may not be able to sign Seydi after all.
