Beckham caught nine passes for 113 yards against the 49ers on Sunday, and will now try to help the Rams lift their first Vince Lombardi trophy since 2000, when they defeated the Tennessee Titans in Super Bowl 34, 23-16.

The two have been friends since Beckham's time with the New York Giants. James reached out to the then Giants wide receiver when he was facing scrutiny from the media abut his play.

James had said at the time that he was one of the few people in the world that could understand what the football player was going through.

"I just try to be a guidance to him and give him words of advice when he needs it and when he wants it," James said. "He can reach out to me any time no matter what time or what the subject is and I just try to give him a piece of my knowledge. It's up to him however he wants to take it."

This isn't the first time that James has been publically vocal in his support for Beckham, in early November he tweeted #FreeOBJ when Beckham washaving issues with the Cleveland Browns. He was waived on Nov. 8 before signing a one-year deal with the Rams in mid-November.
