Kenyan legend Mike Kisaghi believes Liverpool will go all the way to lift the 2018 Uefa Champions League title.
Liverpool will welcome Italian giants AS Roma to Anfield for the first leg on Tuesday, and the former Gor Mahia and Harambee Stars keeper is confident that they have what it takes to get a convincing result.
“Liverpool are very dangerous when playing at home and AS Roma must be very worried. They have scored many goals at Anfield this season and they know that a convincing result is what they need to take to Roma for the return leg.
“I am convinced that they will beat AS Roma home and away. They have been amazing this season and stand a good chance to make it to the final and lift the trophy,” Kisaghi told Goal.
Kisaghi also believes that the crowd at Anfield will play a major role in the first leg contest.
“The crowd at Anfield has never disappointed, especially during big nights like this one. They will push the team to get the job done and this will work to their advantage.”
Kisaghi tips Mohamed Salah to shine against his former side.
“Salah understands the team well, more than any other player at Liverpool and he knows what is at stake. He will definitely give Roma a sleepless night.”
Billed as underdogs when the quarter-final draw was made, the Reds blew Manchester City away with three goals in the opening 31 minutes of the first leg at Anfield.
Liverpool will be hoping for another flying start in the semi-finals. Jordan Henderson is available once again after missing the Manchester City away leg due to suspension, although Joel Matip, Emre Can and Adam Lallana remain injured.
