Liverpool can avenge their December collapse at Bournemouth while aiding their Champions League ambitions when Eddie Howe's men travel to Merseyside.
A mental final 15 minutes at Dean Court saw the Reds surrender a 3-1 scoreline to suffer their second defeat of the season as the hosts netted three times in a frenzied finish.
Liverpool can end strong without Mane
Jurgen Klopp will ensure there is no such charity from his men at Anfield on Wednesday as they look to strengthen their position at the top end of the table.
The Reds have won all four of their previous home meetings with Bournemouth in all competitions, scoring 10 and conceding twice.
LIVERPOOL INJURIES
The severity of Sadio Mane's knee injury is “not 100 per cent clear", according to Jurgen Klopp, with swelling around the problem meaning an accurate assessment cannot yet be determined.
As the Reds boss explained: "When a knee is swollen and you have to wait for the final assessment until it’s not swollen anymore, then it’s not very often I’ve heard afterwards ‘it was nothing’ or ‘it was a bee’ or whatever. It’s swollen because of different reasons."
He conceded "it is possible" Mane could miss the rest of the season.
Jordan Henderson (foot) and Adam Lallana (thigh) are unavailable and are working towards full fitness in Miami.
Emre Can and Joel Matip are both doubts.
“Emre has kind of a full-body bruise,” Klopp revealed.
“We left him out [of training] on Monday because he had back pain, knee pain. Nothing serious, thank God. Really, he has knocks everywhere. I hope he will be fit.
Wijnaldum: Everton didn't play fair
“Joel had a little bit of a back problem or two. He saw the doc before training so we will see. He should be okay.”
Daniel Sturridge, however, has returned to team training following a hip setback.
LIVERPOOL SUSPENSIONS
There are no suspension concerns for Liverpool, while Tyrone Mings is still serving his five-match ban for violent conduct following the incident in the 1-1 draw at Manchester United when his left boot landed on the back of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s head.
LIVERPOOL POTENTIAL STARTING LINE-UP
With Mane missing, Origi should interchange with Roberto Firmino upfront.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is an option, but despite his obvious quality, Klopp feels a change in position may not be the most sensible decision for the teenager.
“As an offensive full-back, it’s really good to see," said the German. "He has to improve in defence from the full-back position, but with his speed he can play a little bit higher up of course. There you have to defend too.
“He’s not used to that position too much. You could see it in one or two situations. He’s 18 years old, he’s used to playing full-back so if he makes a step back that makes no sense in this specific situation."
The doubt over Can is more of a concern as it could signal an alteration in formation if he is not available.
“We have the possibility to change the system," Klopp admitted.
"We have one session to do this, but it’s still possible, absolutely.
"I’m not sure we can have a similar line-up to the last game, but we have different options, we can bring in young boys, experience up front, on the wing, James Milner could play a wing position offensively.
“There’s a lot of different things we could do."
If Matip cannot shake off his back niggle, Ragnar Klavan is ready to deputise.
BOURNEMOUTH TEAM NEWS
The Cherries are unbeaten in their last four league fixtures, a welcome upturn in form for Howe's charges after a run of four consecutive defeats.
They have kept two clean sheets on the spin in the top flight, have never recorded three shutouts in a row, but will not be confident of doing so against the division's highest scorers.
Andrew Surman will be sidelined for the visitors, with Howe adding: “We have a couple of injury concerns that I don’t want to go into ahead of the game."
Following an intensive draw at Southampton over the weekend and with the hosting of Chelsea following Wednesday's fixture, the 39-year-old will "try and make the right team selection based on who we have available".
He added: "We may make changes to try and get the balance between tired bodies and keen players, but we’ll see.”
Josh King has scored nine goals in his last 12 games and has become the first Cherries player to hit double figures in a top-flight campaign (he currently has 11).
Meanwhile, Jordon Ibe and Brad Smith will hope to feature against their former club having made the switch to Bournemouth in the summer.
