Move over Neymar — there’s a new Brazilian to watch in Ligue 1.
That young star would be 20-year-old attacker Malcom, who is now in his third season with Bordeaux and delivered the goal of the weekend on Friday in his side’s match against Dijon.
Malcom decided to have a go from distance and hit it perfectly — delivering a laser into the back of the net to give Bordeaux the 2-1 advantage in the contest.
It's Friday night and we already have the goal of the weekend sorted.

What a strike from Bordeaux's 20-year-old sensation Malcom! pic.twitter.com/Dy6bC3PHqH
And before anyone writes that off saying it was just a lucky hit, just look at the strike he scored in Bordeaux’s 3-0 win over Saint-Etienne on Tuesday.
Malcom has been linked with Man Utd and Barcelona... you can see why! 🚀🚀🚀 pic.twitter.com/OQ9JTxD72R

The goal Friday brings Malcom’s total for the Ligue 1 season thus far to six in 16 games. He’s already just one goal off his total of seven from all of last season.
He still hasn’t quite reached the illustrious heights of his countryman — Neymar has nine goals in just 11 games with Paris Saint-Germain — but he did only cost Bordeaux €5 million.
And if he keeps hitting strikes like that, any club interested in his services is going to have to pay a lot more.
