Kylian Mbappe registered his first La Liga goal as Real Madrid eased to a 2-0 home win over Real Betis.
Mbappe headed into the game on the back of failing to score in the first three league games of the season in the Spanish capital to set an unwanted record for the France captain.
As the pressure ramped up at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, with the home fans growing restless, Mbappe reacted smartly inside the box to stab the hosts in front late on.

That goal triggered an outpouring of relief for Mbappe and his teammates as he ended his long wait to put the ball in the net in Spanish league action.
With the shackles released late on, Vinicius Junior handed Mbappe penalty responsibility in the closing stages, and he slotted home the clincher from the spot.
Mbappe now heads off on international duty with France and Real Madrid are not back in La Liga action until heading to Real Sociedad on September 14.
