Barcelona have reportedly reached a verbal agreement to sign Spain international Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig this summer.

The attacking midfielder, who was instrumental in Spain's Euro 2024 triumph, is set to return to Camp Nou on a long-term contract.

A chunk of big clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City and of course Barcelona were interested in signing the Bundesliga star, with the Blaugrana side winning the race eventually.

Having come up through the renowned La Masia academy, it's no surprise that Olmo would be enthusiastic about returning to the club that helped shape his early career.

At 16, he left his hometown for a surprising move to Croatia, where he thrived at Dinamo Zagreb. His impressive performances there led to a move back to the top tier of European football when he joined Leipzig in 2019.

Barcelona's sporting director, Deco, travelled to Germany to finalize the deal with RB Leipzig.
