Miguel Angel Portugal has been appointed as head coach at Spanish second-division club Granada CF until the end of the season, the club confirmed on Tuesday. He will replace Pedro Morilla at the helm of the club's first team.

This the club's second managerial change after Jose Luis Oltra was replaced following back-to-back defeats in March earlier this year.

The 62-year-old Spaniard has had an illustrious career in football and has played for Real Madrid during his playing career. His latest coaching stint was at Indian Super League (ISL) side Delhi Dynamos, a club he joined in the summer of 2017.

The Dynamos finished eighth in the league after winning just five games out of a possible 18 and crashed out of the qualifying round of Super Cup against I-League side Churchill Brothers.

Granada are currently eighth on the Liga 2 table (55 points from 37 games) with five games left to play.
