Chekiyot Kizhakkeveettil Vineeth is set to continue with Indian Super League (ISL) outfit Kerala Blasters for the 2018-19 season, Goal can confirm.

The forward had penned a two-year contract with the Blasters before the start of the 2017-18 season but after a disappointing season for the team, the talk was that the Kannur-born player would leave the Men in Yellow.

Vineeth still has a year left on his deal and after several rounds of talks with the team management and head coach David James, he has decided to stay with the two-time ISL runners-up and see out his contract.

The former Bengaluru FC forward made 14 appearances in the ISL for the Blasters last season and managed to contribute four goals but did not match the impact he had on the team in the 2016 season where Blasters reached the final of the tournament.
