FIFA U-17 World Cup- the biggest honours in youth football is about to kick off in less than three weeks at India.

The Indian Colts have been clubbed in Group A with USA, Ghana and Colombia and Luis Norton's young guns are currently preparing for the mega event in Goa.

The Indian side contested in a practice match against the reserve squad of Indian Super League outfit FC Goa on September 16 which saw the Gaurs get the better of the Indian Cubs in a 1-0 result.

The Indian team will continue to train in the Konkan area for the coming days and will fly to Delhi on September 25. India's World Cup journey kicks off on October 6 against the USA at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. In order to prepare for the much-anticipated competition, the team will train at Conscient Football - a football school in Gurugram.

There are three training sites arranged in every host city for the 24 sides, of which Delhi's training grounds include the likes of JLN Stadium Training Site 1 and JLN Stadium Training Site 2 in Pragati Vihar, Sudeva Training Site at Civil Lines and Delhi University - Rugby Ground at Vishvavidalaya Marg. However, it must be noted that as per rules laid down by FIFA for the blockbuster event, the official training sites cannot be used for friendly matches as of ten business days before the first training session scheduled at the relevant training site.

This is why the Indian side will continue to train in Gurugram until they are eligible to practise at the three selected training grounds in the capital city. The tickets for India's fixtures can be bought here.
