2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup Draw: Jackson Singh - 'I want to play for Bengaluru FC' image

India U17 team are all set to learn its group stage opponents in the 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup tonight as the official draw is underway in Mumbai. 

However, one of the stars of the team, midfielder Jackson Singh, feels that the team is prepared to take on any side the draw churns out.

Speaking to the media ahead of the draw, the youngster said, "I am a bit nervous before the draw, naturally. I respect all the teams but we are ready to face anyone who comes against us."

The team, coached by Luis Norton de Matos, has been on an extensive preparatory tour in Europe and have returned encouraging results of late. Jackson Singh, who joined the team prior to the tour, feels the exposure gained by the colts during the tour will stand them in good stead. 

"We have learnt a lot by playing against Italy, Serbia and Macedonia. It has helped us improve our game and elements like ball control, finishing, etc. All in all, we have benefitted a lot. We are preparing well and we will give our best," he expressed. 

The young star, who has honed his talents at Minerva Punjab and Chandigarh Football Academy, says it is his dream to represent Spanish champions Real Madrid while his dream club in India is Bengaluru FC. 

"If I have a chance I would want to play for Bengaluru FC in India. And my ultimate aim is to represent Real Madrid," he confessed.
