Following a win over East Bengal in the Kolkata derby, the Mariners will look to add another three points when they come up against Churchill Brothers at the Barasat Stadium on Sunday.  The good news for the Green and Maroon brigade is that striker Dipanda Dicka has shrugged off his knee injury and is set to feature this weekend.

GAME PREVIEW

The Green and Maroon brigade are upbeat after beating their arch-rivals East Bengal in the Kolkata Derby and will look to pocket three points against a depleted Churchill Brothers side.

Bagan's defence looked shaky in their opening game against Minerva Punjab, but managed to put up an outstanding performance against the likes of Katsumi Yusa and Willis Plaza. Kingshuk Debnath and Kingsley Eze were solid at the back and are set to continue their partnership on Sunday.

Yuta Kinowaki has settled in the middle of the park and will look to break up play and initiate attacks. Sony Norde is once again expected to be the live wire for Mohun Bagan in attack and maintain a steady supply to both Dicka and Kromah upfront.

Dicka, who was the top scorer last season will look to open his account against Churchill, after drawing blanks in the first two games. His partner Kromah also has not lived upto the expectations of coach Sanjoy Sen.

Churchill Brothers have looked far from convincing in their first match against Shillong Lajong. They have lacked creativity in midfield and were also blunt in front of goal.

Coach Mykola Shevchenko had got a week's time to prepare for the game. Experienced campaigners like Israil Gurung and Govindswamy must take added responsibility when they face the I-League runners-up from last season.

If Churchill can sneak in a point from Mohun Bagan, Shevchenko will be more than happy after a lacklustre performance against Shillong Lajong in their first match.
