Grab a mint julep and throw on your favorite oversized hat. It's time for the 2024 Kentucky Derby.

The 150th "Run for the Roses" will take place this weekend, showcasing 20 elite jockeys and horses attempting to win the first leg of this year's Triple Crown. It's not the only event on the schedule, though, as there will be several races for fans to enjoy at Churchill Downs.

On Friday, 13 races will be held at the track, including the Kentucky Oaks, which is the top competition for 3-year-old fillies. Saturday will feature 14 total races with the main event sitting in the No. 12 slot.

If you aren't making the journey to Louisville, Ky., don't worry. You can enjoy the festivities from the comfort of your own home.

Nearly 30 total races will be run on Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4. The Kentucky Oaks is expected to start around 5:51 p.m. ET on Friday, and the Kentucky Derby should begin at approximately 6:57 p.m. ET on Saturday.

Live coverage of Friday's races will begin at 1 p.m. ET on USA Network. Coverage of Saturday's races will be split between USA Network (noon ET) and NBC (2:30 p.m. ET).
