Tiger Woods' results, highlights from Tour Championship Round 2 image

Though he wasn't as consistent Friday as he was Thursday, Tiger Woods heads into the weekend with a share of the lead at the Tour Championship.

Woods, who eagled the 18th hole at East Lake Golf Club in his first round to close out a 5-under-par round, shot a 68 in Round 2 to tie him with Justin Rose at 7 under for the tournament.

A tough front nine for the second straight day put Woods in a tie for third place, and although he double-bogeyed No. 16, he still notched four birdies on the back nine, putting him even with Rose heading into the weekend.

Hole 18: Par 5, 590 yards

Ideal start for Woods, as he hits his tee shot in the middle of the fairway. He had a clutch eagle on this hole Thursday, but misses a similar putt Friday. He settles for a birdie and heads to the clubhouse tied with Rose for the lead.

Birdie, 7 under

Hole 17: Par 4, 430 yards

Woods hits a pivotal green in regulation on the final par-4 of the course, but misses the birdie putt past the hole and settles for a par.

Par, 6 under

Hole 16: Par 4, 454 yards

First shot goes off to the left, hits a tree and lands in the rough. Woods doesn't get onto the green until his fourth shot and two-putts for a double bogey, dropping him back into a tie for first place.

Double bogey, 6 under

Hole 15: Par 3, 211 yards

The tee shot lands on the green and Woods sinks the birdie putt. He is back in sole possession of the lead.

Birdie, 8 under

Hole 14: Par 4, 520 yards

Woods is on the green in two shots and follows it up with his second birdie in three holes as he continues to impress on the back nine.

Birdie, 7 under

Hole 13: Par 4, 440 yards

The tee shot is right in the middle of the fairway, but his approach shot lands to the right and in the greenside bunker. He doesn't find himself in the best position after his blast out from the sand, but he saves par with an 8-foot putt.

Par, 6 under

Hole 12: Par 4, 389 yards

For the first time since the sixth hole, Woods drives the ball onto the fairway, and he follows that up with an approach shot that lands him 4 feet from the hole. He connects on the birdie putt, and with some help from the leaders bogeying, Woods is tied for first place.

Birdie, 6 under

Hole 11: Par 3, 214 yards

His tee shot is short and lands in the right rough. The chip puts him within 3 feet of the hole and he makes the par putt to remain even par for the day.

Par, 5 under

Hole 10: Par 4, 424 yards

Another missed fairway for Woods as he drives it into the left rough. He shot a 31 on the back nine Thursday. The approach shot shoots past the green and winds up back in the rough, the story of his round so far. A strong shot from the rough and a routine putt gives Woods a par save once again. He remains only a stroke behind the leaders.

Par 5 under

Hole 9: Par 3, 235 yards

The first shot on the par-3 ninth hole misses the green but lands nearby on the fringe. His long birdie putt is short of the hole, and he follows that up with a near miss for par, giving Woods his first bogey of the round. He shoots even par on the front nine.

Bogey, 5 under

Hole 8: Par 4, 455 yards

With water coating the left side of the hole, Woods' tee shot goes way right and he will be forced to take a drop without a stroke penalty. The approach shot lands in a bunker near the green; this hasn't been his best start to a hole. His third shot lands close to the flag, however, and he gets an important par save.

Par, 6 under

Hole 7: Par 4, 481 yards

After pushing his drive to the right, Woods is faced with another approach shot out of the rough. His next shot doesn't land on the green; Tiger will have to punch it out of the fairway in order to get it there. The pitch gets on the green and the fourth shot is sunk as his bogey-free round continues.

Par, 6 under

Hole 6: Par 5, 525 yards

Woods will have to bring out a fairway wood for his second shot as he sits 244 yards from the hole. He birdied this one Thursday. The second shot lands past the hole and into the rough, while the ensuing chip runs past the hole but sticks onto the green about 14 feet out. His birdie putt is wide and he taps in for par. Rahm and Fowler have tied for the lead after making birdies, so Woods drops to third place.

Par, 6 under

Hole 5: Par 4, 442 yards

The tee shot on No. 5 goes into the trees on the left. Woods is 115 yards from the hole but will have a difficult shot, which he lands in the fringe. A two-putt gives him an up-and-down for par, a score he will take considering his start to the hole.

Par, 6 under

Hole 4: Par 4, 479 yards

Woods gets on the green in two after his approach shot lands right near the flag. The birdie putt narrowly misses and Woods has to settle for his third par of the day. Jon Rahm has tied Tiger for a share of the lead.

Par, 6 under

Hole 3: Par 4, 391 yards

For the second time in three holes, Woods drives the ball into the rough on the left side, but he once again rebounds by hitting his approach shot onto the green. The birdie putt comes up just short, but the easy par putt is sunk.

Par, 6 under

Hole 2: Par 3, 197 yards

The tee shot hits the green, setting Woods up for an 18-foot putt for birdie, which he sinks. For the first time in the tournament, he is in sole possession of first place.

Birdie, 6 under

Hole 1: Par 4, 469 yards

Woods' first drive of the day lands too far left and goes into the rough. He still winds up on the green in two shots and two-putts for a par to start the day. Fowler bogeyed the hole, but Justin Rose and Rory McIlroy have entered into a tie with Woods for first place.
