His lone blemish Friday, a bogey on the 17th hole — he began on the back nine — was immediately canceled out by a birdie. Woods hit some memorable shots during the round, including a second shot to 11 feet from a fairway bunker.

In all, Woods hit 11 fairways and 13 greens in regulation during the round.

Sporting News tracked the results and highlights from Woods' second round at the WGC-Mexico, which is being played at Club de Golf Chapultepec in Naucalpan, Mexico.

Hole 9: Par 4, 367 yards

Not an ideal start on the final hole for Woods, who drives it into the fairway bunker, but he hits a miraculous second shot, clearing a tree and getting a great bounce to land 11 feet from the hole. The birdie putt lips out and he finishes the round with a par and a 66.

Hole 8: Par 4, 525 yards

After a straight drive, Woods nearly hits his approach shot into the gallery. He rebounds with a strong pitch that lands within 4 feet of the cup and saves par.

Hole 7: Par 3, 197 yards

Iron off the tee box stops about 20 feet from the green. Although he doesn't stick the birdie putt, Woods leaves a tap-in and he stays at 5 under.

Hole 6: Par 5, 619 yards

All fairway and green for Woods on the sixth hole, but he misses a 26-foot birdie putt. He has settled for pars on two of three par-5s.

Hole 5: Par 4, 444 yards

A miraculous second shot gets Woods onto the green and he converts a 13-foot birdie putt. He's now 5 under and just four strokes off the lead.

Hole 4: Par 4, 490 yards

Woods lets a birdie opportunity slip by when he misses a 20-foot putt, but he recovers for the par.

Hole 3: Par 3, 167 yards

How about a 22-footer for birdie? Woods is 4 under for the round.

Hole 2: Par 4, 384 yards

Woods gets a green in regulation but his long birdie putt sails past the hole, setting up a second consecutive par.

Hole 1: Par 4, 317 yards

Woods double-bogeyed this short par-4 on Thursday, but he is able to keep pace with a par save Friday.

Hole 18: Par 4, 393 yards

What a way to finish the first nine! Woods gets his fourth birdie of the round to gain back the stroke he lost on the previous hole.

Hole 17: Par 3, 179 yards

Woods won't be happy with a bogey on the par-3. He had a long birdie putt and ended up three-putting to drop a stroke.

Hole 16: Par 4, 408 yards

The birdie streak doesn't reach three; Woods misses from 10 feet and settles for par.

Hole 15: Par 5, 572 yards

Make that two straight birdies for Woods! He enters the top 10 but sits seven strokes behind leader Rory McIlroy.

Hole 14: Par 4, 496 yards

An 8-foot birdie putt moves Woods to 2 under for the round and tournament. He's inching closer to the top 10 on the leaderboard.

Hole 13: Par 3, 233 yards

Woods can't reach the green on the short par-3, hitting into to the left rough. He's able to pitch onto the green and convert a 5-foot putt to save par.

Hole 12: Par 4, 413 yards

First birdie of the round for Woods. He drives it 284 yards off the tee, gets on the green in two and sinks an 8-foot putt to move under par.

Hole 11: Par 5, 610 yards

It's another par for Woods. After a routine start, his third shot goes into the trees. He follows up with a pitch short of the green. Another one-putt on the green saves par.

Hole 10: Par 4, 457 yards

Woods starts on the back nine and gets a fortuitous kick onto the fairway with his iron off the tee. He manages an up-and-down for par, saving it by one-putting from 3 feet away.
