Tiger Woods' fellow PGA Tour players saluted him Sunday by his wearing his signature final-round red and black.

Woods deeply appreciated the gesture.

"It is hard to explain how touching today was when I turned on the TV and saw all the red shirts," he wrote on Twitter after the fourth round of the World Golf Championships-Workday Championship. "To every golfer and every fan, you are truly helping me get through this tough time."

Woods is recovering from multiple injuries he suffered in a single-car crash Tuesday in California. He has been recovering at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Rory McIlroy, Patrick Reed, Justin Thomas and Tony Finau were just some of the players who dressed for the occasion at the WGC event. A brief visual of how it looked on the course:

The tributes extended to the Champions Tour event, where Phil Mickelson wore a red shirt to go with his Sunday black, and the PGA Tour event in Puerto Rico, where even maintenance workers took part.
