The Players Championship leaderboard: Results, highlights from Round 4 at TPC Sawgrass image

The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass concluded with Webb Simpson as its champion. Simpson won the tournament by four strokes and finished Sunday at 1-over 73 but ended the weekend at 18-under.

Simpson created separation Friday with a course record-tying 9-under 63 in Round 2. That, after his 6-under 66 on Thursday, gave Simpson a five-stroke lead heading into Round 3. He backed up that performance Saturday with a 4-under 68 that increased his lead to seven strokes heading into Round 4.

Tiger Woods climbed all the way up to second at one point in the afternoon but couldn't quite stick with it and ended the weekend T11 at 11-under.
